I’m always asked by folks what kind of cameras and gear I use. So I’ve put together this list that will be updated frequently as I upgrade or add to my toolkit. I’ve conveniently linked to each of the items at B&H Photo in NYC so you can purchase or just find out more information about this stuff.
Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home
This bag is far and away one of the most versatile bag I’ve owned. Room for 3 lenses, 2 bodies, two flashes, memory cards, batteries, cables, gaff tape, emergency kit, etc. You should buy this bag because…it sucks pulling around a top heavy rolling bag. Nuff sed.

Sanyo Eneloop “AA” rechargable batteries
Why use regular AA batteries? They are too expensive. NiMH Rechargables? Well they would discharge sitting in the bag and be worthless when I needed them…until now! Unlike other brands these Sanyo Eneloop batteries wont lose their charge just sitting in your bag. New technology has made these batteries more reliable, they will not discharge over time while not being used. They are ready when I need them, and when I’m done I charge ‘em back up and back in the bag they go. If you own a digital camera, or anything else that uses “AA” batteries, you gotta get these!
Vivitar 285 HV
I’m absolutely stoked that the powers that be have decided to start producing this little speedlight again. This little gem is worth it’s weight in gold. A very powerful, versatile flash that is perfect in those situations where you need to provide an alternative light source. I find it very useful when working both in the studio and on location.
